No doubt that in modern culture, Atheist has become a dirty word. As if all the world’s problems could be placed squarely on the shoulders of those of us who hold reason and logic above faith.
So many people seem to think that being Atheist and being a good person can’t coexists. They’re wrong. And nowhere better than tomorrow’s Reason Rally to show them just who we are. To show the world that Atheists come in every color – to put a very human face with a very misunderstood name. That we are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, friends, and neighbors. We are tall. And short. We are Doctors, Artists, Writers, and Teachers.
And most of all, to show them that we are strong and not afraid to stand for what we believe in. That we don’t believe in the violence they preach. That they can’t continue to make decisions for us based on their beliefs. That we are equal. And that we believe in reason and with reason, we can make our country and the world a better place.
I see tomorrow it as an opportunity to come together - united in our desire to start something. Something big.
I feel our time coming. No longer ashamed to be godless and remain voiceless, letting those who cast judgment upon us based on nothing more than fables and folklore handed down from person to person, that we are here. And we are not afraid. And the Reason Rally is only the beginning for us.
So allow us to introduce ourselves. Hello America. We’ve always been here.

This is my first tattoo! It turned out so amazing, and I love it! Got this one for my brother, the doves represent the bond we have through all the tough times, and he will always be one of my best friends.
This was done by Champion Grubbs at Guru Tattoo in San Diego, CA.
Great response to “I am not the 99%” photos that are being posted everywhere
